The IMA is an international trade fair. Because of this, products for the German market as well as for foreign markets will be displayed. Not all the machines and exhibits, shown at the IMA, are approved for the German market.

Important Notice From the Coin-Operated Machines Committee
Despite the State Gambling Treaty (GlüStV), which came into force on 01.01.08, the admissibility of private companies to retail/organise sports betting is forbidden in Germany.
However, the legal situation is still under dispute due to differing European and administrative court findings. In practice the law is applied unevenly. Each business owner should contact the relevant national/local authorities to find out which laws currently apply.

In view of the legal situation, all products related to sports betting are intended primarily for export.
